Capture a screenshot with Snagit
Use Snagit to capture, annotate, and share screenshots — from a quick region grab to a full scrolling page capture.
Published August 2, 2026
Snagit is the standard screen-capture tool at TeamLogic IT clients. If it is not installed, request it through the Software Catalog.
Capture a region
- Press Print Screen (or the Snagit hotkey, usually Ctrl + Shift + C) to open the capture cross-hairs.
- Click and drag to select the area you want.
- Release the mouse — the capture opens in the Snagit Editor.
Capture the full screen
- Open the Snagit capture panel (taskbar or system tray).
- Under Selection choose Full Screen.
- Select Capture (the red button) — Snagit takes a snapshot of everything visible.
Capture a scrolling window or webpage
- In the capture panel set Selection to Scrolling Window.
- Move your cursor over the window — Snagit highlights scrollable areas in orange.
- Click the area to start — Snagit scrolls and stitches the full page automatically.
Annotate and share
- Use the Markup tools (arrow, text, callout, blur) in the Editor to highlight what matters.
- Select Share → Copy to Clipboard to paste into an email, Teams message, or document.
- Select File → Save As to export as PNG, JPG, or GIF.
> Tip: Use the Blur tool to redact sensitive information (passwords, personal data) before sharing screenshots outside the organisation.
