Published August 2, 2026
Combine with Adobe Acrobat Pro or Standard
- Open Acrobat and select Tools → Combine Files.
- Select Add Files and choose the documents you want to merge (PDFs, Word, Excel, images).
- Drag the thumbnails to reorder pages as needed.
- Select Combine — Acrobat creates a new merged PDF.
- Save it with File → Save As and choose a destination.
Combine from File Explorer (right-click method)
- Select multiple files in File Explorer while holding Ctrl.
- Right-click → Combine files in Acrobat... (requires Acrobat to be installed).
- Acrobat opens with those files pre-loaded — proceed from step 3 above.
Reduce file size after combining
Large merged PDFs can be compressed:
- Open the combined file in Acrobat.
- Select File → Reduce File Size (or Compress PDF in newer versions).
- Choose the target quality and save.
If you do not have Acrobat
Use the PDF & Documents category in the Software Catalog to request an Acrobat licence, or ask the help desk about Nitro PDF as an alternative.
