Clear your browser cache and cookies
Clearing the cache fixes pages that look broken, show stale content, or refuse to load after a site update — takes under a minute.
Published August 2, 2026
Cached files and cookies can cause login loops, outdated pages, and form errors. Clearing them is a safe first fix.
Microsoft Edge
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete.
- Set the Time range to All time.
- Tick Cached images and files and Cookies and other site data.
- Select Clear now.
Google Chrome
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete.
- Set the Time range to All time.
- Tick Cached images and files and Cookies and other site data.
- Select Delete data.
Clear a single site (Edge or Chrome)
- Go to the site causing problems.
- Press F12 to open DevTools.
- Right-click the Reload button and select Empty cache and hard reload.
After clearing
- You will be signed out of all websites — have your passwords ready.
- If the problem persists after clearing, try opening the page in a private/InPrivate window. If it works there, an extension is the likely cause — disable them one at a time to identify it.
> Tip: You do not need to clear your entire history. Ticking only Cached images and files fixes most page-rendering issues without signing you out.
