Share from OneDrive on the web
- Go to onedrive.com and sign in with your work account.
- Right-click the file or folder and select Share.
- In the sharing dialog choose who can access the link:
- People in your organisation — colleagues only (recommended for internal files).
- Specific people — enter email addresses one at a time.
- Anyone with the link — public access; use only for files with no sensitive data.
- Set whether recipients can edit or only view.
- Optionally set an expiration date and a password.
- Select Copy link or Send to share via email.
Share from File Explorer (Windows)
- Right-click the file inside your OneDrive folder.
- Select Share (or OneDrive → Share).
- Follow steps 3–6 above in the popup.
Revoke access later
- Right-click the file → Manage access (or open onedrive.com → ... → Details → Manage access).
- Select X next to the person or link to remove it.
> Security tip: Avoid Anyone with the link for documents containing personal data, financial figures, or client information. Use Specific people instead and set an expiry date.
